Svenska Klubben i Reval
The Swedish Club in Reval — Svenska Klubben i Reval — is a fellowship of Swedish and Finnish residents and friends of Swedish culture in Estonia's capital. The club was founded on December 6th, 1924 and, after more than fifty years under occupation, was revived in 2016 with the original statutes lightly adjusted. The first Grand Ball of the new era followed in 2017. Today the club resides a stone's throw from the Town Hall Square, at Pikk tn 9 in the heart of the Old Town of Tallinn — Reval.

Premises
The club resides at Pikk tn 9, 10123 Tallinn — a medieval merchant's house on one of the oldest streets of the Old Town, a short walk from Raekoja plats, the Town Hall Square. The premises house the club's gatherings, receptions and smaller dinners.
Purpose
As stated in the statutes of 1924, the club gathers Swedish and Finnish residents of Reval for edification and sociable companionship, strengthens their common bonds and deepens the love of the Swedish language and culture — and, in cases of need, supports distressed compatriots.
Heritage
The club forms an independent section of the Estonia-Swedish association Svenska Odlingens Vänner, founded in 1909, and carries forward a tradition of Swedish cultural life in Reval that reaches back centuries.
What We Do

The annual Grand Ball at Kadriorg Palace — an evening of banquet, dancing and a charity wine auction, held each autumn since the first ball of the revived club in 2017.
Throughout the season the club hosts lectures and seminars on Swedish and Estonia-Swedish culture, history and language, strengthening the fellowship of Swedish-speaking souls in Reval.
Smaller gatherings, receptions and dinners at the club's premises on Pikk 9, where members and their guests meet in the spirit of the founding statutes of 1924.
In cases of need, the club supports distressed compatriots — a duty written into the statutes of 1924 and carried on today through the proceeds of the Grand Ball wine auction.
Visit the Club
The Swedish Club in Reval is not a public house, but a fellowship. Membership and attendance at the club's events are arranged through the board. To enquire about membership, a visit, or the club's activities, please write or call.
